Who we are

The spirit shares real stories of faith from people living in country Australia.

What is life really like out here? And how does having faith help?

The Spirit is for those wanting to hear their stories told and those who’d like to know more about life out of the cities.

It is for those already living with faith and those curious to know more about what that actually looks like.

These are the stories of a police officer, an army cadet, a recipient of an Order of Australia and an advocate against family and domestic violence just to name a few.

Their stories are not always neat, and each challenges us to think differently. But ultimately these are encouraging stories of hope.

The Spirit is an initiative of the Anglican Diocese of Bendigo.

The Spirit was recorded on the lands of the Dja Dja Wurrung, the Yorta Yorta and the Baraba Baraba peoples. We pay our respect to elders and commit ourselves to the path of justice and reconciliation with first nations people.
